donation for PTSD

Make a Difference

Many people carry the silent pain of childhood trauma and discrimination, often without understanding why they struggle or where to find support. This project is about listening to their voices, turning their experiences into knowledge, and helping create more compassionate and effective mental health care.

Your donation is more than financial support—it is a message that these lives matter, these stories deserve to be heard, and healing is possible. Together, we can transform pain into understanding and open the door to hope for people living with PTSD around the world.

About the Project

The PTSD Since Discrimination Project is an international research study I am leading to better understand how childhood trauma and experiences of discrimination shape a person’s sense of self and contribute to symptoms of post-traumatic stress.

Across many cultures, people live with emotional wounds that are often unseen, misunderstood, or untreated. Through ethical and anonymous research in different countries, I hope to listen to real experiences, understand their psychological impact, and help create more compassionate and inclusive mental health care.

Your donation will directly support the essential steps needed to carry out this international research project. Contributions help cover ethical approval and review fees, translation and validation of psychological assessment tools, secure and anonymous data collection, and other core research expenses. Every gift—large or small—helps transform lived experiences of trauma and discrimination into knowledge that can improve awareness, access to care, and hope for people affected by PTSD around the world.

My Aim

With this project, I hope to:

  • Explore how childhood trauma, discrimination, sense of self, and PTSD symptoms are connected

  • Raise global awareness about the psychological effects of discrimination

  • Support the development of better, trauma-informed mental health care and prevention strategies

  • Contribute meaningful scientific knowledge that can improve lives and guide future research and support services

At its heart, this work is about turning lived experiences into understanding—and turning understanding into hope and healing.
